SHOTOKU Factory Innovation Tour
Where Ideas Become Products That Reach the World
Have you ever wondered how the equipment used by television stations is designed, built, and shipped around the world?
This summer, Nagareyama LEAD is inviting junior high school students and their friends to an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience at SHOTOKU Corporation, one of Japan’s leading manufacturers of professional broadcasting equipment.
This isn’t a typical factory tour.
It’s a chance to experience real innovation, meet professionals, and discover how great companies solve real-world problems every day.
Normally closed to the public, SHOTOKU has opened its doors exclusively for this special LEAD educational partnership, giving a small group of students the opportunity to experience the world of Japanese manufacturing firsthand.
What You’ll Experience
🎥 Operate Professional Broadcasting Equipment

Why This Experience Is Different
At LEAD, we believe entrepreneurship isn’t just about starting a business.
It’s about learning to identify problems, think creatively, and build solutions that improve people’s lives.
During this visit, students won’t simply learn what SHOTOKU manufactures—they’ll discover:
- Why the company was founded
- What problems it set out to solve
- How innovation creates value for customers
- Why do some companies continue to thrive for more than 80 years
These are the same entrepreneurial thinking skills our Hero-preneurs develop throughout the LEAD program.
Whether your dream is to become an engineer, entrepreneur, designer, or you simply enjoy discovering how things work, this experience will inspire you to see the world differently.
