We are thrilled to announce that Nagareyama LEAD has officially launched a pilot program at Nambu Junior High School, marking the first time our curriculum has entered the bukatsu (club activity) system of a public school in Nagareyama City.
This is a significant step forward—not just for our organisation, but for the city itself.
Until now, Nagareyama LEAD has been known primarily as a weekend enrichment program, designed to empower students with the mindset and skills of young changemakers. With this pilot, Nagareyama LEAD is no longer only an outside-the-school-hours initiative—it is now being welcomed into the heart of school life.
We are honored by the trust of the Nagareyama City Board of Education and deeply grateful to Nambu Junior High School for becoming the first school in the city to pilot our program in bukatsu. This partnership reflects a shared belief: that students thrive when given the opportunity to build empathy, creativity, and real-world problem-solving abilities in environments that value their voice.
While the pilot is limited in scope, it signals something powerful—a new willingness within the school system to explore innovation in student development. It also allows us to demonstrate, in a real school setting, the impact of our approach.
This pilot will inform the growth of our core offering: the Nagareyama LEAD weekend program, which remains the cornerstone of our mission.
We are currently inviting parents across the city to learn more about it at our upcoming Information Session on July 27.
This moment is just the beginning. We’re proud to walk forward with our community toward a future where leadership is not taught not just by textbooks—but lived, practiced, and felt by every student.
