A new form of learning for children
On Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Nagareyama Lead, together with the NEC Pro Bono Club, we will host a special workshop to nurture the future of children.
Using the popular video game Minecraft, children will experience the joy of working with friends and the power of bringing their ideas to life. With a day full of curiosity and challenge, they will discover the excitement of learning on their own.
Workshop Activities
Japanese schools focus on building strong foundations, while cram schools emphasise test preparation. However, for children to thrive in the society of the future, they need strengths that cannot be measured by scores alone:
Confidence in their own ideas
The ability to solve problems together with peers
Creativity and imagination to try new approaches
Nagareyama L.E.A.D. is working as a “third place of learning” to foster these abilities. In this workshop, children will have the chance to experience them firsthand.
〈Workshop Activities〉
Town-Building Challenge: In the game world, children create their own towns, freely shaping their ideas.
The Joy of Collaboration: In small groups, they overcome challenges together and share their achievements.
Skills for the Future: Creativity, leadership, and problem-solving—abilities that will serve them well in life.
