Our Curriculum

The Nagareyama L.E.A.D. program is a comprehensive 3-month curriculum designed to equip young people with the essential skills and mindset to thrive in today's dynamic world.  Through a balanced approach that combines self-discovery, practical business skills, and impactful community engagement, we empower the next generation of Japanese leaders.

A Holistic Approach:

Our 12-session curriculum is carefully structured to provide a holistic learning experience:

  • Self-Awareness & Community Engagement: Students begin by exploring their strengths and identifying community needs, fostering a sense of purpose and responsibility.
  • Problem-Solving & Innovation: We guide students through a structured process of identifying, prioritizing, and creatively solving real-world problems.
  • Business Fundamentals & Entrepreneurial Skills: Students learn business basics, including marketing, budgeting, and developing business plans, culminating in the creation and presentation of their own projects.
  • Collaboration & Presentation Skills: Teamwork and effective communication are emphasized, culminating in a final showcase where students present their projects to peers, mentors, and community members.

Key Curriculum Components:

  • Interactive Sessions: Engaging activities such as brainstorming sessions, mock interviews, prototype development, and "Shark Tank" style pitches keep students motivated and actively involved.
  • Mentorship & Guest Speakers: Students benefit from interactions with successful entrepreneurs and business leaders, gaining valuable insights and real-world perspectives.
  • Digital Tools & Resources: We utilize various digital tools, including Canva, Google Forms, and project management platforms, to support learning and project development.
  • Assessment & Showcase: The program culminates in a final showcase event where students proudly present their projects and celebrate their achievements.
